Tauranga has far few seaside restaurants, but fortunately Harbourside comes to the rescue. Occupying a former yacht club building (1933), the owners boast you can sail up to the door (or maybe jet ski?). Eat either indoors (polished wooden floors, lively atmosphere) or outside on the decks over the water with views of the harbour and ancient motor boats at anchor. The brasserie has a huge menu including superb seafood and meat dishes. Wheelchair friendly. Licensed. Open daily from 10.30am.
